Trump Tower in Chicago
At 1,388 feet (98 stories), Trump Tower Chicago is one of the last giants to be built in downtown Chicago. When it opened in 2009, it was the second tallest skyscraper in the United States after the Willis Tower (Sears Tower).
It is named after Donald Trump, the billionaire and 45th President of the United States, who originally wanted it to be the tallest building in the world, but had to scale back his ambitions after the shock of the September 11, 2001 attacks.
With its feet in the Chicago River, Trump Tower offers pleasant panoramic views of Lake Michigan to residents of the 486 condominiums and guests of the 340-room luxury hotel that share the building.
On the sixteenth floor, Terrace 16 is one of the most renowned restaurants in the city. Spectacular views and refined cuisine under its giant dome and Swarovski crystal chandeliers. Terrace with your head in the skyscrapers. Breathtaking.
